Last weekend Hannah and I went to Summerville,SC (near Charleston) with our youth group. We went to Mini World Changers which is where about 7-10 churches come and stay at a church and do service to the community. We even had to sleep in the church--not so comfortable! In my group, there were only 3 people from my church, including me! Hannah and I painted a house deep in the woods and and rake the never-ending pile of leaves! One thing that was really neat was that the people we worked for had lived in their little house in the woods since 1981. In their back shed, they had Coca-Cola and Pepsi bottle from the 80s! They let us keep them and so now there is one on our kitchen counter (which is probably notwhere it is supposed to be...)
After coming back from MWC, I was REALLYtired! At school the next day, math was really boring...as usual. I didn't realize how long I had shut my eyes until my math teacher pointed it out to the whole class (just a little embarrassing)! I had SO many projects, quizzes, and tests this week, nice way to start back school right:
-2 Math tests, Spanish test, and Social Studies test.
-Vocab quiz and
-1 project in English and in leadership (the most pointless class in the WORLD. Don't take it unless your forced!!)
It may not seem like a lot, but it is! But SpRiNg BrEaK is just around the corner!! About 1-2 more weeks!! Woo-Hoo!!
Well, I'll post back soon!

**Lots of Snow!!**
Like I said in my previous post, it snowed a lot at our house!
We played in the snow yesterday and today. Of course, the second day snow is never as good as the first. But, hey, at least we had a lot the first day and we got two days off from school and most likely a two hour delay tomorrow! Thank you, Jesus, for a break!! :D

What? NO BO-BERRY!?!
After it began to snow heavy, Dad wanted some coffee and donuts. We went to Dunkin' Donuts and they were out of the good stuff. Then we went to Bi-Lo in their bakery and they didn't have a whole lot. Last, we went to Bojangles to see if they had any Bo-Berry Biscuts--delicious! They wouldn't have any for about 15 minutes.

Woo-Hoo!!
I am so happy that it is snowing!! Yes, suddenly this morning, it was raining really hard and all of that rain has turned into snow! I am so happy because, even though we live in Greenville, SC, it can still snow! I thought that we wouldn't see any this year. Guess I was wrong! Well, thankfully I was wrong. I'll update pictures later of us in the car trying to find something warm to eat! :d Hope your getting the same!!

Long Week...
So, it has been a really long week. I had three tests and two or three quizzes. To some, that may not seem like very much. But to me, that PLUS a ton of homework each night is quite a lot! On Tuesday afternoon, I got in the car from school. I would normally see Luke in the car with Dad. Hannah and I kept asking Dad where he was (because Mom was at work, so he couldn't have been with her) and I discover that he is at my grandparents house in NC and will be there until Friday afternoon, PLAYING IN 4-8 INCHES OF SNOW!!! I was very jealous... and I still am. Well, I will hopefully update more soon. ;) We are going to Winter Jam at the Bi-Lo Center Friday night and I cannot WAIT!! :D ( I haven't been before--well, to any concert at all).

Fun in the SNOW!!
On Monday, January 12, we went to my grandparents house in Clyde, NC. We were out of school that day for some reason and we really wanted to go see some snow. This is Luke when we first came outside.... it was *ccooollllddd!!*
Then the snow really started coming down! Big Flakes!! I can't tell you how many times we went in and out of the house. Too many. I didn't want to waste my energy on the wimpy flakes... and it got a little cold.
It didn't snow enough to cover the ground, but it was fun!! :)

Sorry it has been a while..
So, I know that I haven't updated my blog for a while. I wouldn't say that school is very crazy-but I have had tests and quizzes. I have 2 projects coming up soon
1. Leadership- I have to find someone to interview that has impacted the community, but I cannot be RELATED to them or KNOW them. Kind of crazy
2. Science fair.... oh, I am SO happy I only have to do this one year! Mom and I are doing a project to see which hand sanitizer- Germ-X, Purell, or Bath&Body Works- will kill more germs.
Well, I will update my blog with pictures very soon. Even though I got a digital camera for Christmas, I have only taken pictures of me and my friends at school. So, see Facebook for those photos. But we went to my grandparents house Saturday, where it was SNOWING, so I will update pictures from that soon!

Christmas!!
We had a wonderful Christmas. Every year, Hannah, Brett, Luke, and I draw each others names and whoever we get, we buy a present for. This year I got Luke. In one way, he is a hard person to buy for. I bought his present a couple of days before Christmas. I got him pro-football cards and a miniature Nutcracker =$4.I was so happy with all of my wonderful Christmas presents. I was really surprised, though, to open up a DIGITAL CAMERA! I have been using it like crazy.
Everyone bought nice things for each other this year. Sorry for not having updated my blog with pictures for a while. Happy New Year!

Off for CHRISTMAS!!
I am so happy! Today was my last day of school until January 5! We had a Christmas party today at school. It is so nice to know that I don't have any homework this weekend or for a while. Brett just reminded me that we only have 2 weeks off. Anyway, I cannot wait until Christmas! I have no idea what I am getting because I don't even know what I want. Well, only 6 more days until CHRISTmas and 0 more until break! (On my facebook I have been counting down the days, but now I don't have too. Woo-hoo)! I hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas! :D

Thanksgiving Photos
On Thanksgiving, my family and I went to my grandparents house in Clyde, NC. It is really pretty in the mountains and they have a pond area behind their house. My aunt, Paula, wanted to take some pictures of us. She really knows how to shoot a photo! You will see some more pictures on our Christmas card.

"T" Pumpkin
Our family, from what I know, has never really carved pumpkins before. We decided we would do that this year. Dad cleaned out its guts and Mom carved it. Doesn't it look nice? She is really good at drawing and stuff when it comes to creativity!

Fall for Greenville
We went to the Fall for Greenville last Saturday. It reminded me a lot of the Apple Festival in Asheville. I got this giant pretzel that had been coated in funnel cake powder stuff. It was really good! It was kind of hard to eat though because my orthodontist changed everything in my mouth a couple of days earlier.
As you can see, we had a fun time, but I had WAY too much food. There were all sorts of different restaurants there and so many different types of food. Fall for Greenville was a BLAST!

Hair+Sweat+Wind=LUKE!
This is what you get when you are sweating from running around and then get in the car and stick your head out the window. Luke and I were running around outside at church before we left. We got in the car and Luke put his head out the car window. He said "Hey Katie, look at me!" So when we arrived home I ran inside and got the camera! I thought he looked hilarious! Just thought I'd share that with you!!

Goin' to the Game
Hannah and Dad are getting ready to head over to the Gamecocks vs. Wofford game. I am jealous! But I kept trying to remember that when I was 10 I got to go to the USC vs. Tennessee game. I hope the Gamecocks when this one! (But today at 3:30 Tennessee is playing Florida. Dad says it's probably their BIGGEST GAME of the YEAR! He was about to give up the tickets! GO VOLS!!)

Camp Greenville
Today I went to Camp Greenville with my school. I had a BLAST! I won't write everything about it. Anyway, we did a bunch of team work things. One of the most scariest things I've ever done (besides brake my arm and have a mole removed) was going on the high ropes course. I got up there and looked down. (Not a very bright idea)! But I proceeded on! I knew if I didn't try I would regret it. It was lots of fun and I would love to go again!

Off to School
Today was the first day of school for me and Hannah. I had been nervous all night and this morning. It turned out really good! I love my English teachers room: pink, green, blue and orange polka-dots and couches. It's cool! I have made some friends. It was a good first day! (Not much homework) :)

My Blog Changes
As you can see, I have changed my blog background. If you get on thecutestblogontheblock.com, you can see the many background choices there are! Of course, I can't choose one for good. That would be boring. So beware of my blog. I am changing the background every month. :p

Biking
We got mountain bikes about 2 weeks ago. One Saturday, we rode 3.2 miles up and down hills. It was fun. But afterward my legs were sore. Our family plans on riding the Virgina Creeper. I can't wait!

Peanut Butter Volcano
Luke wanted a cake from Strossners (sp.?) If you haven't tried their Peanut Butter Volcano cake yet, just remember it's never too late! It is SO good! There is layers of peanut butter and chocolate with whip creme on the top. It is delicious!

Blow Those Candles Out!
As you can see in this picture, Luke couldn't wait for cake. He used all of the breath he had to blow out those candles. And he did it all in one shot!

Luke's Birthday!
On Friday, we celebrated Luke's birthday!
href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg-MY_o3Xsnmu3EIEE44PJ1JYABoUslI9MAozi4G7iqaG8Y_-p9yt0eUk4vvnFVyP4q_qRr-zcVLmUnvZzAcyDyaui7QgvuFDydDLPgr_eGxJVv5Vi2IokoQETrF-Wjb8V-BabQ6lX1Jo/s1600-h/100_5467.JPG">
He loved everything he got. Luke got an art kit. He loved to draw! And I think that he is very good at it.
He also received a book full of things he can build. That is another one of his gifts. He has built a chair before with no help at all.

I'm Divin' In!
I just learned how to dive this summer. One day I got on the diving board and dove off. Ever since then, I haven't really jumped off of it. I just dive!
