Last week, Brett, Mom, Dad, and I went took a trip to North Greenville University. Mom really wanted to go leaf-looking before the leaves fall. It was very pretty out that way and I enjoyed getting to look at a college I may want to go to. Everywhere we went there was a church at least every mile. No need for the college students to worry about finding one. After we went out there, we ate at a place that I forget the name of, but the food was really good! Right behind the restaurant there was a biking trail called the Swamp Rabbit Trail. It takes you from Travelers Rest about 12 miles and then into Greenville. It was really cool and maybe sometime we will get to go do that. Here are some photos from the Trip taking at a historical covered-bridge. (I forgot the name of that too) :)

Sooo......
I haven't updated in a while, obviously. There just hasn't been a whole lot going on other than school. For those who don't know, I am now hOmEsChOoLeD!! So Happy!!! :) So is Brett. I never thought this would happen, and even if it did happen, not this soon. We are using the Switched-On-Schoolhouse cirriculum. (For some reason I can't spell that!) I am very excited! I miss my friends at school, but I feel like I am using my life more productively and not wasting 40 hours sitting in a classroom everyday. I will admit that the Spanish 2 is a bit harder than I thought it would be. All quarter at GTCHS it was pretty easy. This is not.
Well, basketball season is coming up soon and I can't wait! Finally get to be on a high school team!! :) I just love this weather too! I really don't want the rain to come this weekend but I am sure we need it. Well, I should probably go. Hopefully something will come up soon (pictures included!). Until then, bye! :)

A Little Update
I know it's been a while since I have updated my blog, so I'll tell you what's been going on. I started school on August 10th. I can't believe that I am about to start my fourth week of school already! Greenville Tech a good school and I like it there, but I'm already wishing for a break! Within the four weeks I have been there, I have already had 2 quizzes in math, 2 in Spanish, 1 test in science, 2 quizzes in English, 2 projects due Monday and Tuesday, and a quarterly reading project due in October. I am a little overwhelmed to have just started school, but hopefully I'll adjust real soon!
For my reading project, I am reading Deadline by Randy Alcorn. I have only read the first chapter since I got it yesterday afternoon, but it is a great book! This is one (Elizabeth, Rebekah, & Sarah) that I definitely plan to finish! LOL!!
Gym is pretty fun. We go to the YMCA everyday because we don't have a gym. We have been playing baseball and kickball. I was hoping we might do basketball, but I don't see that happening.
Well, I hope that everybody's school year is starting off good! Have a great weekend!! :)

Trip to Tazewall
Last week was amazing! Hannah, Brett, and I went to Tazewall, Virginia with our youth group. A lot more people showed up than I thought, only a little less than Mini World Changers. We stayed at Bluefield College and I roomed with my friend Amanda.
On Thursday (we left Wednesday), Brett and I painted the inside of a school building. We got put on the same team. It was kinda embarrassing though, because I kept spilling paint on the floor. But using the paint roller was fun. On Friday, I got up at 5:00 to go make breakfast for all the students. I stirred grits for 1 1/2 hours straight! We painted again and then in the afternoon we had a free car wash. I have always wanted to stand on the side of the road and scream, "FREE CAR WASH STRAIGHT AHEAD AT ADVANCED AUTO PARTS!!!!" while watching the ignoring faces drive past me, trying to avoid reading the signs everyone held. Yeah, definitely fun. Then on Saturday I got up and made breakfast again. We clean up a lot. I was constantly washing dishes from the food being made. Yeah, I washed dishes while Hannah baked cakes. Fair? Just kidding, the dishes hardly had anything on them. Anyway, it was a long drive home because of all the traffic and my ipod was almost dead! Horrifying, right? Just kidding.
It was an AWESOME trip! I really hope they do something like that again next year. Well, Rebekah's party is only about 1 day away! I can't wait!!! Haven't seem them since spring break! That is WAY too long to be separated from your best friends!! :)
Hopefully I'll have some good pics to update!! Until then, bye! :D
